8 Films Shortlisted for the Best Pitch Selection

Zatvoren je konkurs za regionalnu takmičarsku selekciju Best Pitch, koju je raspisao Novi Sad film festival, i koji je bio posvećen onim filmskim projektima čija je realizacija već u toku, kako bi dobili podršku za njihovo uspešno finale.

The call for entries for the regional competition Best Pitch, launched by the Novi Sad Film Festival, has officially closed. This selection focused on film projects already in production, aiming to support their successful completion.

U uži krug konkursa ušli su filmovi: „Levant“, Una Radić; „15 i po“, Mišo Obradović; „Po meni se ništa neće zvati“, Đorđe Vojvodić; „Vožnja biciklom sa Zolijem Turčinom“, Sabolč Tolnai; „Plod“, Maša Šarović; „Sunce, nikad više“, David Jovanović; „Vetre, pričaj sa mnom“, Stefan Đorđević; „78 dana“, Emilija Gašić.

Najbolji film koji će dobiti milion dinara biće proglašen 24. septembra u 11 sati na pres konferenciji koja će biti održana u Kulturnom centru Novog Sada.

Žiri ovogodišnje Best Pitch selekcije čine glumac Džon Sevidž, koji je predsednik žirija, kao i direktorka fotografije Maja Radošević i filmska producentkinja Ida Vajs.

Publika će u okviru Novi Sad film festivala, od 21. do 24. septembra gledati internacionalne autorske filmove, filmske omaže kultnih reditelja, eko-filmove i druga filmska ostvarenja, koje nije imala priliku da vidi do sada.

Partner ovogodišnje selekcije Best Pitch je Schweppes.

The following projects have made it to the shortlist:

  • Levant by Una Radić
  • 15 and a Half by Mišo Obradović
  • Nothing Will Be Named After Me by Đorđe Vojvodić
  • Bicycle Ride with Zoli Turčin by Sabolč Tolnai
  • Fruit by Maša Šarović
  • Sun, Never Again by David Jovanović
  • Wind, Talk to Me by Stefan Đorđević
  • 78 Days by Emilija Gašić

The winning project, which will receive a 1,000,000 RSD award, will be announced on September 24 at 11 AM during a press conference at the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad.

This year’s Best Pitch jury includes acclaimed actor John Savage (jury president), cinematographer Maja Radošević, and film producer Ida Weiss.

As part of the Novi Sad Film Festival, taking place from September 21 to 24, the audience will have the chance to enjoy a diverse lineup of international premieres, homages to cult directors, eco-themed films, and other cinematic works rarely screened in the region.

This year’s Best Pitch selection is supported by Schweppes.
