Zoran (30) is a chronically exhausted “ninja,” working the night shift on a reality TV show, where he watches contestants sleep across some fifty monitors. After his shift, during yet another attempt to catch some sleep in the early morning, Zoran’s already fragile rest is interrupted by a call from his estranged father, Vesa (60). Vesa has cancer.

Zoran and Vesa go from one doctor to another, navigating the institutional chaos of the public and private healthcare systems. Although he throws himself into helping his father, Zoran refuses to accept the harsh truth: Vesa is wasting away and slowly dying.

To escape it, Zoran redirects his emotions toward his neglected love life, seeking fulfillment in two equally impossible relationships — with his ex-girlfriend Tamara, who is now engaged to someone else, and Ema, a reality TV star from Big Brother.

When both affairs end badly and Vesa’s condition takes a dramatic turn for the worse, Zoran finally begins to come to terms with the inevitable. He sets off with his father on an apparently pointless journey to a monastery, where Vesa will go to confession for the first time in his life.

In the cramped Yugo Florida driving along the highway, Zoran finally gets to know his father, an equally insecure man, yearning for closeness. He receives from him the love he has been waiting for. And then he says goodbye.
