Marko Grba Singh was born in 1988 in Belgrade. He is currently pursuing a PhD in film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.
His short documentaries Late We Met and Pale had their world premieres at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, Switzerland. His mid-length fiction film Abdul & Hamza, which addresses the plight of refugees on European soil, premiered at the FID Marseille festival in 2015, where it received a special jury prize.
In early 2016, he traveled to China and made the short documentary Stars of Gaomeigua, which won the award for Most Innovative Short Film at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon in 2017. He directed the short film Tesaurus, which premiered at the Doclisboa festival in 2020. His latest feature documentary Rampart had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. He is the artistic director of the Beldocs festival and one of the selectors for the Zagreb Human Rights Film Festival. He lives and works in Belgrade.
