Vanja Hovan je reditelj, scenarista i direktor Novi Sad film festivala.
Vanja je rođen 1983. godine u Novom Sadu. Završio je osnovne i master studije filmske režije na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu. Osnivač je Centra za razvoj vizuelne kulture koji se bavi televizijskom, filmskom i pozorišnom produkcijom.
Poznat je po filmu „Grande Punto” (2018), za koji je osvojio nagradu za najbolji scenario na Filmskom festivalu u Vrnjačkoj banji (Srbija). Autor je dokumentarnog filma „silikoNSko proleće” (2012) i serije „pljas ili krokodil Dendi” (2014). U sva tri ostvarenja potpisuje režiju, scenario i produkciju.
Od 2007. zaposlen je kao tv reditelj na Radio televiziji Vojvodine.

He was born in 1983 in Novi Sad and completed both his undergraduate and master’s studies in film directing at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
He is the founder of the Center for the Development of Visual Culture, dedicated to television, film, and theater production.
Hovan is best known for his film Grande Punto (2018), for which he received the Best Screenplay Award at the Vrnjačka Banja Film Festival (Serbia). He is also the author of the documentary silikoNSko proleće (2012) and the series Pljas ili krokodil Dendi (2014). For all three projects, he served as director, screenwriter, and producer.
Since 2007, he has been working as a TV director at Radio Television of Vojvodina.
