Biography
Nikola Spasić je nagrađivani srpski reditelj, montažer i producent, kao i selektor glavne takmičarske selekcije četvrtog Novi Sad film festivala.
Diplomirao je multimedijalnu režiju na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu, završio master studije filmske i televizijske montaže na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti u Beogradu, a doktorske studije dramskih umetnosti na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu okončao je disertacijom „Sinteza dokumentarnog i igranog filmskog žanra“. Vanredni je profesor na Fakultetu računarskih nauka u Beogradu, gde u okviru Odseka za multimedijalni dizajn predaje film i multimediju.
Njegovi filmovi prikazivani su na brojnim međunarodnim filmskim festivalima, među kojima su FIDMarseille, Seviljski evropski filmski festival, Torino Film Festival, DOK Leipzig, Međunarodni festival dokumentarnog filma Ji.hlava i Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Njegovi radovi prikazivani su i na televizijama RTS, Superstar TV, Al Jazeera Balkans, RTRS, RTV FBiH i Klasik TV, kao i na VOD platformama Amazon Prime, FilmIn, UniversCiné, Sooner, LMC, Apolon i Pickbox.
Njegov najnoviji dugometražni film Kristina (2022) osvojio je više nagrada, među kojima su First Film Award na festivalu FIDMarseille, nagrada za najboljeg reditelja u usponu na Seviljskom evropskom filmskom festivalu i nagrada za najbolju režiju na Martovskom festivalu. Film je 2023. godine bio nominovan i za Doc Alliance Award.
Od 2013. godine Spasić je jedan od osnivača REZON-a – Inkubatora multimedijalnih umetnosti i kreativnih industrija, kroz koji razvija sopstvene projekte i doprinosi razvoju projekata drugih autora. Takođe je direktor producentske kuće HYBRID FILM.
Član je Udruženja filmskih reditelja Srbije, Udruženja filmskih producenata Srbije i DokSrbija – Asocijacije dokumentarista. Od 2026. godine član je i kolektiva Studio 6.

Nikola Spasić is an award-winning Serbian film director, editor, and producer, and the selector of the Main Competition program of the 4th Novi Sad Film Festival.
He graduated in Multimedia Directing from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, earned a master’s degree in Film and TV Editing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, and completed his doctoral studies in Dramatic Arts at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, with a dissertation titled “Synthesis of the Documentary and Fiction Film Genre.” He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science in Belgrade, where he teaches film and multimedia within the Department of Multimedia Design.
His films have been screened at numerous international film festivals, including FIDMarseille, Seville European Film Festival, Torino Film Festival, DOK Leipzig, Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, among others. His work has also been broadcast on television channels including RTS, Superstar TV, Al Jazeera Balkans, RTRS, RTV FBiH, and Klasik TV, and distributed on VOD platforms such as Amazon Prime, FilmIn, UniversCiné, Sooner, LMC, Apolon, and Pickbox.
His latest feature film, Kristina (2022), received multiple awards, including the First Film Award at FIDMarseille, the Best Emerging Director Award at Seville European Film Festival, and the Best Director Award at Martovski Festival, among others. The film was also nominated for the Doc Alliance Award in 2023.
Since 2013, Spasić has been one of the founders of REZON – Incubator of Multimedia Arts and Creative Industries, through which he develops his own projects and contributes to the development of projects by other filmmakers. He is also the Director of the production company HYBRID FILM.
He is a member of the Association of Directors, the Association of Film Producers of Serbia, and DokSrbija – the Association of Documentary Filmmakers. Since 2026, he has also been a member of the Studio 6 collective.
