Maria Ciola je deo Internacionalnog filmskog festivala u Solunu od 1994. godine. Svoju profesionalnu priču započela je dok je studirala ekonomiju i administraciju na Univerzitetu u Solunu, istovremeno pohađajući dvogodišnju školu glume.
Radila je u različitim sektorima i na brojnim inicijativama u okviru Internacionalnog filmskog festivala u Solunu i Festivala dokumentarnog filma u Solunu. Bila je angažovana u sektoru za odnose s javnošću, za organizaciju događaja, računovodstvu, a radila je i kao asistentkinja generalnog direktora i Upravnog odbora. U poslednje vreme aktivno učestvuje i u radu butik festivala – Evia Film Project.
Više od dvadeset godina vodi sektor za ljudske resurse, trenutno živi u Atini.
Sa više od tri decenije iskustva u festivalskoj industriji, izgradila je snažan osećaj za izazove, promene i potrebe sa kojima se ova industrija suočava. Posebno se zalaže za promocijui podršku raznolikosti u filmskom izrazu i osnaživanju žena koje rade u filmskoj industriji.
Maria Tziola has been working with the Thessaloniki Film Festival since 1994, beginning her journey while studying Economics and Administration at the University of Thessaloniki and simultaneously attending acting school for two years.
Over the years, she has contributed to various departments and initiatives within the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, including Public Relations, Events, Accounting, and serving as Secretary to both the Board of Directors and the General Director. More recently, she has also been actively involved in the boutique island festival, the Evia Film Project.
Currently based in Athens, she has been serving as the Head of the Human Resources Department for over two decades.
With more than thirty years of experience in the festival landscape, she has cultivated a deep understanding of its evolving challenges and opportunities. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to championing diverse voices in cinema and supporting women working in the film festival industry.
