Novi Sad postaje takvo magično mesto 22. septembra kada će biti upriličeno svečano otvaranje novog, internacionalnog takmičarskog filmskog festivala – Novi Sad film festivala.

Sa više od 20 filmova na nekoliko lokacija u samom srcu grada, u septembru Novi Sad postaje filmski grad koji će ugostiti mlade reditelje, ali i dobro poznata imena iz sveta filma, sa željom da podstakne afirmisanje mladih stvaralaca, razvije dosadašnje kapacitete publike i donese gradu nov filmski ugođaj.
Filmski program biće ispraćen i brojnim muzičkim nastupima, a kruna otvaranja novog filmskog festivala biće koncert muzičkog vizionara, jednog od najuglednijih umetnika u regionu – Damira Urbana i njegove četvorke, koji će nastupiti u Srpskom narodnom pozorištu, uz prestižni novosadski gudački sastav Camerata Novi Sad.

Tokom skoro četiri decenije duge muzičke karijere, Damir Urban postao je sinonim za kvalitetnu i emotivnu muziku. Njegov put obuhvatio je različite stilove, čineći ga svestranim umetnikom i inovatorom na modernoj muzičkoj sceni, a sedmoj umetnosti približio se adaptacijom čuvene pesme Ne brini beogradske grupe U škripcu, za potrebe filma Dječaci iz ulice Marksa i Engelsa.
Sada već davne 1986. godine, grupa Laufer i pesma Budi moja voda dobili su nagradu Radija Velike Gorice te postali hit godine. Nedugo zatim, grupa započinje novo poglavlje pod nazivom Urban & 4, a njihov prvi album Otrovna kiša izlazi odmah nakon odlične saradnje sa riječkim sastavom En Face na pesmi S dlana Boga pala za koju osvajaju Porin, najugledniju hrvatsku muzičku nagradu. Narednih godina, nagrade počinju da se nižu, pa je Urban sa svojim sastavom postao vlasnik nekoliko Porina, između ostalog, i za album Žena dijete koji se smatra remek-delom hrvatske muzike i jednim od deset najboljih albuma decenije.
Gudački sastav Camerata Novi Sad, koji čine najbolji mladi muzičari novosadske Akademije umetnosti, tokom dve decenije postojanja afirmisao se izvođenjima najzahtevnijih dela klasičnog repertoara, ali i brojnim uspesima koje je ostvario nastupajući sa renomiranim solistima.
Sinergija Urban & 4 i Camerate Novi Sad doneće publici fuziju emocija i zvukova koja će otvoriti vrata internacionalnog takmičarskog filmskog festivala u Novom Sadu.
Publika će do 24. septembra gledati autorske filmove, filmske omaže kultnih reditelja, eko-filmove i druga filmska ostvarenja, koje nismo imali priliku da vidimo do sada.

During his nearly four-decade-long musical career, Damir Urban became synonymous with high-quality emotional music. His path encompassed various styles, making him a versatile artist and an innovator in the modern music scene. He came close to the seventh art by adapting the famous song Ne brini by the Belgrade band U škripcu for the film Boys from Marx and Engels Street..
In 1986, the band Laufer and the song Budi moja voda (“Be My Water“) received an award from Radio Velika Gorica and became the hit of the year. Not long after, the band began a new chapter under the name Urban & 4, and their first album, Otrovna kiša (“Poisonous Rain“), was released immediately after the excellent collaboration with the Rijeka band En Face on the song S dlana Boga pala (“Fallen From God’s Palm“), for which they won the Porin, the most prestigious Croatian music award. In the following years, the awards began to pile up, so Urban and his band acquired several more Porins, one of them for the album Žena dijete (“Woman Child“), which is considered a masterpiece of Croatian music and one of the ten best albums of the decade.
The string ensemble Camerata Novi Sad, consisting of the best young musicians of the Novi Sad Academy of Arts, established itself during its two decades of existence by performing the most demanding pieces of the classical repertoire and achieving numerous successes performing with renowned soloists.
The synergy of Urban & 4 and Novi Sad Camerata will bring the audience a fusion of emotions and sounds that will open the doors of the international competitive film festival in Novi Sad.
By September 24, the audience will be able to watch authors’ films, film homages of cult directors, eco-films, and other film productions that we have not had the opportunity to see so far.
