Picking up where the first film ended — Fahai traps Xiao Bai under Leifeng Pagoda and casts Xiao Qing (Green Snake) into the nightmarish "City of Asura," a realm forged from the obsessions of countless souls. To survive and find a way back to save her sister, Xiao Qing must fight alone in this lawless purgatory where the weak are devoured. Along the way, she encounters a mysterious masked young man, and together they face the ultimate trial of the Asura realm. Centered on Xiao Qing's journey from dependency to independence, the film delivers a spectacular fusion of Eastern aesthetics and steampunk.
