Milan Nikodijević is a director, screenwriter, producer, and selector of the regional competition selection of short feature student films.

He was born in Kragujevac in 1956. He graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

Nikodijević wrote, directed, and produced the following documentary films: Censored Without Censorship; Šta hoće ti luđaci? (“What Do These Crazies Want?”); Doviđenja u sledećoj zasedi (“Goodbye in the Next Ambush”); Osvajanje slobode (“Winning of freedom”); Skupljač seoba (“Movement Collection”); Plastična bomba (“Plastic Bomb”); Mica i okolne priče (“Mica and the Stories around Her”); Karamazov – Pictures of the Soul; Spokoj kraja (“Peace of the End”); Trapped Time (Festival Special Mention, Solo Positivo Film Festival Šibenik, 2017 / Best Film, DNR Festival Belgrade, 2018 / Best Film, DokuMfest Zenica 2018); and The Winter of One Spring. He also wrote, directed, and produced the documentary television series Pictures of the Soul, The Visitor, Rock’n’Roll Writer, Memento, and Proleće u češkoj školi (“Spring in the Czech School”)..

He is the author of the books Censored Without Censorship, Screenplays Written with the Left or Right Hand, Pictures of the Soul, Od fajronta do svitanja (“From Closing Time to Dawn”), and Dinko..

Nikodijević was the director of the “Screenfest” Film Script Festival in Vrnjačka Banja for many years. He is now a tenured professor at the Academy of Arts of the University of Novi Sad.
