Miguel Faus (Barcelona, 1992) is a screenwriter, director and producer.
He graduated with distinction from an MA at the London Film School, where he made the short films The Death of Don Quixote (Meliès d’Argent at the 51st International Sitges Film Festival) and The Quiet Maid, selected at Malaga Film Festival and Palm Springs International Shortfest, and acquired by HBO Max for streaming in the U.S.
In 2023 he presents his debut feature, The Quiet Maid, which adapts his short of the same title and which is the first European movie ever financed by NFTs (non-fungible tokens), after a pioneering crowdfunding campaign created by Faus himself.
At Sundance Festival 2023, The Quiet Maid received an award of $100k in Finishing Funds, financed and handed by Steven Soderbergh. In 2021 he was selected by Variety as one of the top 10 Spanish filmmakers to watch.
