The Montenegrin film project "Nothing Will Be Named After Me" directed by Đorđe Vojvodić is the winner
competition within the Best Pitch selection announced by the Novi Sad Film Festival, and which was dedicated
film projects whose realization is already in progress, in order to receive support for a successful finale.
The film "Nothing Will Be Named After Me" won a million dinars for the completion of its realization. This year the jury
the Best Pitch selection consisted of actor John Savage, president of the jury, and jury members Maja Radošević, director of photography and Milan Nikodijević, producer.
John Savage said that this film is about something that is happening in the world right now, something that concerns
all of us: "This is a film about patriarchy, about the fall of a society, shown through the fall of its strongest individual," says Savage.
The director of the festival, Vanja Hovan, pointed out that the Best Pitch selection is one of the most interesting selections because
it is not a pure competitive selection, and it is not a pure Industry program either: "This represents a significant step and support for regional cinematography. We had the privilege to hear impressions from the famous Busan Content Market and see how things work there. The funds we allocate are not negligible, they represent a strong impulse for film projects. I would like to thank our partners and friends because they provided us with significant financial support to help make the film happen," Hovan said.
The screenplay of the Montenegrin film project "Nothing Will Be Named After Me" is signed by Maja Todorović, Nikola Ljuca and director Đorđe Vojvodić, while behind the project is producer Miljan Vučelić and the production company Bitter Frames from Podgorica. As the author's team states, it is a film about "successful deconstruction of the alpha-male archetypes of a certain generation and its legacy in a small society." The partner of this year's Best Pitch selection is Schweppes.
Also, even today, the audience can watch the films: "Amazon in the heart of Europe", "Underwater",
"To the last breath", "Who is that, Ika Bašić" and "Indigo Crystal". Find all the information on the Novi Sad Film Festival's
